Chapter 3
Calvin Oresh, at your service." The king looked up to see a brown-haired man standing right in front of him. He still had his leather bag with him, dirtied and worn from years of use.
"It is not my service you shall be doing, it is my sons. I must warn you, though, he can be quite hard to wake up." The king looked at the butler who had delivered the man to him. "Show this boy to Leo's room." The butler nodded and led the new servant to Leo's room.
When Calvin entered the room, he was first taken aback by the elegance of it all. Red was everywhere, and lying right in the middle of it was the bed. The door shut behind him, scaring him half to death. The new servant inched forward until he was close to the bed. He knew the prince had to be attractive but he didn't knew he was this attractive.
Calvin inched closer and gently shook him. Leo opened his eyes, and glared at whoever was trying to wake him up so early. He saw the most handsome looking servant, and he was looking right at him. Giving in to impulse, Leo wrapped his arms around his new servant and pulled him close to kiss him. Calvin didn't understand what was going on. Why was the prince kissing him, and why was he so strong? Calvin couldn't break free of his grasp and when his master finally let go, he spat on the ground and wiped his mouth.
"What is wrong with you?" The new servant glanced at his master, seeing the most hateful eyes. The servant took another step back, and straightened up.
"What's wrong with me? How about what's wrong with you, speaking to a prince in such a horrid manner. Did you fall out a window when you were younger? Did anyone ever teach you that it's rude to talk in such a way to royalty?" Leo shoved the sheets away and walked up to his new servant. The man flinched when he got up close.
Leo slapped him.
"Let me give you a fair warning. This is how you shall wake me up. Kissing me, feeling me, giving me oral, etcetera, etcetera. You are only allowed to wake me in in such sexual ways. I will tolerate no others." Leo looked back at his new servant, who had hung his head in shame.
"Do you understand me?" The new servant nodded.
"Good. Now. What is your name?" Leo put a hand on the new servant, causing him to jump.
"Calvin Oresh, sir. At your service." The servant was still looking down.
"Look up, dear Calvin. You shouldn't be afraid of me. As long as you do your duty to protect, and serve me, we shall get along just fine." The servant nodded, raising his head. He still didn't look in Leo's eyes though. "Now, let me get dressed, then we shall go gather information about the upcoming ball, and explore."
Leo flipped through pages of the back of a book. Calvin stood lookout in case anyone were to appear.
Melissa Lis, formerly Melissa Ghao, bore two children, one of this plane, and another of the spirits. Later, she was confirmed of spying on the Lis kingdom for secrets to send back. Instead of executing her for treason, the king sentenced his wife to exile. Her fate remains unknown.
Leo hurled the book across the room. It hit the floor with a bang and fell crooked. His heartbeat rose. He felt like just lost everything. For years, Leo believed his father killed his mother, without good reason. Now he finds out she committed treason, but she still might be alive. Leo kicked his father's desk, breathing heavily.
"Master?" Calvin turned around, seeing the prince panic. How was one supposed to handle such behavior?
Their eyes met, and Leo rushed to him. The door slammed behind Calvin and he was pushed against it. Calvin opened his eyes to see Leo staring right at him. He didn't know what his master wanted. His eyes looked so distressed and confused. Calvin reached up comfort the prince, but instead their lips mashed together and Leo was kissing him. Calvin tried pushing him away, but the more he pushed away, the harder Leo pressed against him.
Leo's hands roamed his servant's body. Drifting upwards until his hands wrapped around Calvin's neck. He squeezed the man's neck with both hands, choking him. When Calvin looked, gasping, his master was not his master. He was gray, and something about him screamed evil. The man tried to pry the thing off him, but Leo just growled, and showed off his sharp teeth.
"M-aster Leo…I—can't—I can't—I can't breathe!" The sound of a collision hit, and the door burst open. Calvin and Leo tumbled back. Calvin turned to see who was strong enough to open the door. It was the butler. Calvin crawled behind the butler, gasping for breath. The figure lying on the ground didn't move, and it still didn't move until the butler picked him up by the collar and dragged him across the room and against the wall. Leo looked normal now.
Leo looked up to see the butler towering over him. Upon closer inspection, he looked pissed. Pass the butler, he saw Calvin breathing heavily and touching his throat. It only took a moment before Leo figured out what he had done. How he became possessed enough for him to nearly choke his servant to death.
"I never wanted this!" He screamed, then got up and ran. Leo hoped it was loud enough for the demon inside to hear.
Calvin: Does not possess any magic. Has a weak stomach and mind.
Melissa Lis: Formerly known as Melissa Ghao of the Ghao Kingdom, and bore two children: One of the mortal plane (Heather), and another of the magical (Leo). When her last child was a mere 6 years old, she was confirmed to be spying on the Lis kingdom for secrets to send back to her father. The King cared too much for his wife, so instead of executing her for treason, he sentenced her to exile. Her fate remains largely unknown, but there has been a recent spotting of her in the last two years of her in the Teupin Kingdom.
