Chapter 6

"The doors are locked." Changmin pulled the doors a bit. Neither budged.

"Zombies inside, most likely. JinHee, stay close to us and stay quiet, okay?" JinHee nodded, and attached herself to Jaejoong's pant leg.

"I'm shooting the door open. Stand back." Yoochun took a few steps back and aimed the gun, but Junsu lowered it.

"Save your bullets. We don't know when we can get more."

"Well, then, how do you suggest we open it?"

"Find an axe."

"There was one in the hallway. Y'know, for safety purposes." Changmin pointed back the way they came, at the apartments.

"Too far."

"There's gotta be one nearby, in a store somewhere. Me, Junsu, and Yoochun will find it. You three make sure zombies don't pop out, or anything." The three ran off to different stores, leaving Jaejoong to glare at their backs.

Yunho leaned on the wall, and grinned. "Jaejoongie, wanna hear a joke?"

"Not really."

"What kind of money do grandfathers like?"

Jaejoong sighed. "What kind?"

"*Hal Money." Jaejoong's lip trembled, and he turned his entire body. His hand rose to cover his face to stop himself from laughing. Jaejoong didn't want to admit it was funny, but Yunho was smiling from his success.

"Wow, guess that didn't work." Yoochun sighed, appearing from behind the alley. Changmin followed, with a red axe in his hands.

"It's a start." Jaejoong pouted and gave Yoochun a light shove. The other only laughed, jumping away.

The door was hacked open. Only the emergency light in the front was on. JinHee clutched the pant leg tighter, shuffling forward with the group.

The library was tall, half made of glass and filled to the brim with books. Many of such scattered about, like they were tossed on the floor on a moment's notice.

Changmin gaped at the sight. "Where do you think survival books would be?"

"If they're even in the library, they would be in the non-fiction section, most likely." Junsu tried moving around to see if the lights were on a sensor, but nothing turned on.

A low groan let out and everyone's heads turned to see the source. Four zombies stood behind the front desk, staring at them.

"They're stuck there. Those stupid zombies don't know how to open a door." Jaejoong held JinHee's hand, and headed towards the stairway. "You guys go ahead. Me and JinHee will go find the kid's section."

Yunho watched the hips and long legs that went up the stairs. Well, they appeared long on Jaejoong the way he dresses. Yunho gave a loud clap to shake himself out of it. "Okay! Non-fiction should be near the back somewhere. Hopefully." Yunho pointed down the hall, and led the group to what he assumed was the back.

"I haven't been in the library in so long." Junsu smiled to himself, his fingers brushing past the spines of the books.

Their footsteps echoed through the library. Each step caused more tension, more alertness. If there were any more zombies in the library not locked up, they would have heard them by now. The group passed by many types of books, and took enough turns to get lost. They even went up a flight of stairs--it had a vase red tulips on the window sill, before they finally found the non-fiction section.

"Oh my god. Are those recipe books?" Changmin ran off to the left, not bothering to turn around and see if anyone was following him. Junsu sighed.

"Yoochun can you--" Yunho halted and looked around. Yoochun was nowhere in sight. "Where did he go?" The two looked around for a moment before giving up.

Junsu shrugged. "Just go."

"I have no idea where he could be."

"Not Yoochun. Jaejoong. I know you want to; you've been fidgeting since he left."

Yunho stared at the other before he broke into a smile. "Even after all these years you can still tell."

"I've been watching your backs for a while now. I think I'd know." Junsu shooed him. "Now go. I know what to look for." He gave the other a slight push and watched as he practically ran down the stairs, a little bounce in his step.

Jaejoong was right where Yunho thought he would be. He also told them all he'd be in the kid's section, but he didn't say where in the kid's section. Jaejoong was sitting next to the window, with JinHee in his lap and a book in his hands, reading quietly to her. Light streamed in from the window onto them both. It was a little cheesy, but Yunho could have sworn he saw Jaejoong glowing. He still hadn't noticed Yunho yet, as he laughed at the book with JinHee, smiling to her. He point to something in the book, which JinHee proudly pointed at, too. "He looks funny!" Yunho could hear her from where he stood.

If they ever got through this…

An idea caught him, and Yunho bolted back to the stairs, heading straight to the window sill with the potted flowers, and plucked the entire pot from the water.

He was out of breath from running up and down the stairs, and his heart was race. He didn't know which caused it: The stairs, or Jaejoong. Either way, he stepped forward, carefully with the flowers behind his back, into Jaejoong's field of vision. "Hello, JinHee. Can I talk to Jaejoong for a bit?"

"Okay." JinHee grabbed the book and slid off her father's lap.

"Don't go too far, I still need to see you." JinHee sat herself at the table and attempted to read to herself, not bothering to check if her father could still see her. Jaejoong turned to Yunho, a glare on his face in a flash. "What?"

Yunho took a gulp of air, and dropped to his knees as he held out the bouquet of flowers. "I love you. Please forgive me." He hung his head.

It was a long while before Jaejoong said anything. "You left me. You left us."

"I was afraid. My mother only said the thoughts I was afraid to think because I thought they were right. I know now how wrong I was. But I'm trying, Jaejoong. I'm trying. I don't think I can get through this without you."

A moment later, Jaejoong took the tulips, which Yunho took as a sign to look up. Hope. Fear. Sadness. The netizens always talk about the looks he and Jaejoong gave each other. They just failed to realize how deep it goes.

Jaejoong blinked away the tears as he slid down from his seat and sat on his legs. Yunho knew what was going on, and gave the other a nod of encouragement. He took a breath to calm himself, and lightly pressed his lips over Yunho's.

Yunho couldn't stop himself from smiling in between their pecks and kisses.

"What?"

"I missed kissing you--"Yunho gave a peck. "Does this mean you forgive me?" He leaned in to give another peck, but Jaejoong tilted his head away. Yunho frowned, confused. "Just say the word, Jaejoong. You know I'd do anything."

Jaejoong nodded. "I accept your apology. Let's go find the others. See if we can help. Come on, JinHee." Jaejoong stood and held out his hand for her to grab, only, she didn't grab it. "JinHee?" He turned to see Jaejoong staring, wide eyed, at the zombie shambling towards her. Jaejoong made a dash to her, but before he could fully make it over there, the zombie collapsed and blood pooled from its head. He yanked her away from the pooling blood. Yoochun stood behind it, still staring at the fallen soulless.

"Where the hell have you been?" Yunho crossed his arms, staring at Yoochun.

"Making sure those things don't get us while our backs are turned. Or eyes closed."

Yunho's face turned red. "You saw?"

"Everything. Let's go." Yoochun huffed and headed up the stairs, tucking his pocket knife in his breast pocket.

"What's got his panties in a bunch?" Jaejoong mumbled as they followed him. Yunho hid his laughter, then nudged Jaejoong as he mocked Yoochun's face. They both goofed around until Yoochun spotted Changmin crouched on the floor in front of the bookshelf.

"Hyung, look! Recipes!" Changmin held out the recipe book he was reading for Yoochun. Jaejoong peeked over the shoulder as he flipped through the pages.

"But these are all cookies."

Junsu popped his head from the isle over. "Oh, there you all are." He came out with one book. "A general camper's survival guide was all I found."

Yunho frowned. "You sure?"

"I checked everything. Twice."

Jaejoong sighed. "What does it have?"

"Filtering rain water. Setting up a tent. Pictures of poisonous plants. What to do if you run into a bear." The group stood in silence, staring between the book, the carpet, and each other. "We have no choice but to take it."

Yunho glanced at Jaejoong, then JinHee. "Okay then. If that's all, let's head back home."

As the group exited the way they came, Junsu couldn't help but notice the four zombies from the front desk were gone.

JinHee came out of the bathroom in her Hello Kitty pajamas, and a towel wrapped around her hair. Jaejoong grinned, to which Yoochun rolled his eyes at.

"I'm next!" Changmin called out, darting from the kitchen into the bathroom.

JinHee handed a brush to Jaejoong and sat on the floor in front as she took off the towel from her head. "Braid it, please."

"One braid, coming right up."

"No! Two braids."

Jaejoong sighed. "Okay, okay. Two braids."

By the time Jaejoong had finished the two braids--with Yunho and Yoochun laughing at his failures--both Changmin and Junsu had finished showering. Yunho glanced around.

"Aren't you going to take a shower too, Yoochun?"

"If I do, it'll hurt like fu--" Yoochun glanced at JinHee, who was glaring at him. "It'll sting pretty bad. You two go ahead." Yoochun stretched himself across the couch, and yawned.

Jaejoong stood up and stretched his arms as he headed to the bathroom. However he stopped in front of the doorway and turned around. "Yunho?"

Yunho glanced up from the newspaper. He dropped it the second he saw that look. Who needed the newspaper anyways? It had been so long since he saw that look. Yoochun scoffed at how fast Yunho got up and rushed to the bathroom door.

The sex was exactly how he remembered it, except this time everything was wet and slippery and for the most part, cold. And they didn't have lube. Neither the water nor the soap worked.

"Ow--" Jaejoong turned his torso around to see if he could spot any damage, a scowl planted on his face. He could only see the top of his ass, and Yunho's pelvis. "Careful!" Yunho could only see a little blood. Wasn't that bad.

It had been a long time since Yunho had sex. And since both of them were sweating in the shower, he took a guess Jaejoong had some time off, too. They tried to keep it calm and quiet. But it had just been too long for the both of them.

Jaejoong's moans interrupted his own panting. Just like old times. And just like old times, Yunho couldn't keep the slow pace once the other started moaning.

Yunho wanted to leave his mark on the other. On his back. His arm. His neck. His jaw. He wanted to show the world that Jaejoong was still his. The younger one forced his face closer by his hair, kissing him with a violence that wasn't there the last time.

Yunho knew the spot inside that made the other shudder and writhe under his grasp. It never failed to cause a happy accident, and this time was no different. The sounds echoed against the tiles, vibrating back into his ears and sending him into overdrive. A passing thought about a sound proof bathroom crossed Yunho's mind.

It was overridden by the huge amounts of ecstasy and hormones released at the climax.

Their legs wobbled. Jaejoong leaned back onto Yunho after he pulled out to keep himself from falling. It always left them panting. Yunho wrapped his arms around Jaejoong's waist and directed his head to face him. He pleaded silently for a kiss. They always did in the aftermath, no matter how breathless they were.

Jaejoong allowed a peck, which Yunho was happy to oblige. Yunho smiled, and gave another peck. And another. Yunho leaned against the tiled wall, and kissed him, slow and easy.

An urgent banging on the door spooked them both away from each other. Yoochun poked his head in, hand covering his eyes. "Hot water; running out! Some of us have actual showers to take!"

Yunho jumped out and reached for a towel. "You heard all of that?"

"That's my towel!" Jaejoong snatched it from him, and wrapped it around him. Yunho sighed and rolled his eyes.

"Unfortunately. For such an expensive place, they sure do have crappy sound proofed walls.
